Who We Are

Our Club History
Padbury Netball Club was established in 1978 by Dawn Hillman and what started as a one team club, soon grew as friends and daughters joined.
The 2012 season marked a change in the running of the club with Dawn's resignation from Club President duties and the introduction of our new President Kelly-Ann Bunney. A new committee formed to see Padbury Netball Club into its next stage of growth by reintroducing juniors and having a Social Media presence.

In 2017 Linda Easter whose mum is pictured in the front middle, became Club President and Incorporated the club in 2018. Over the past three seasons the Club has reached two milestones with the highest number of members since the club was established.

Our Club is one BIG family!

Our Vision
We are proud to offer our members the benefit of being part of a small netball club, where both senior and junior players can interact. We encourage our more experienced members to mentor and support our junior members and provide them with role models to look up to.

We encourage anyone interested in joining our club to get in contact today. We are always looking for new faces - players, coaches, umpires, committee members and volunteers.
Life Members

Dawn Hillman
Dawn Hillman created Padbury Netball Club in 1978 and was the Club President for over 30 years. She did everything that kept the club running, played and coached.

She brought so much netball experience and knowledge to so many players over the years as well as being a killer shooter herself.

Our club is the great netball family it is today all thanks to Dawn.

Marianne Kalebic & Linda Easter
Marianne Kalebic was an original Padbury Netball Club member & player when Dawn started the club in 1978. Her & Dawn were an unbeatable shooting combo & Marianne was a long bomb specialist. She played with the Club for over 20 years & brought your current Club President & Vice Presidents into the world.

Linda Easter has been playing with the Club for 25 years and is your current President. Padbury Netball Club is her family & she remembers watching her mum & sister as a kid before she got to join the club as a junior. The Netball day started at 8am with her playing then Melissa playing then her mum & they wouldn't get home till 6.30pm (not too much has changed ).

Sharon Hillman
From the age of 6, Sharon would always come to netball training with her mum, Club Founder and President at the time Dawn Hillman and train with the Junior members. Throughout Sharon's time at the Club, she passed on so much of her netball knowledge and wisdom to so many members through coaching and mentoring them. Sharon brought the club great success through your playing and coaching commitments. Not only did you bring so much to our club but also netball in general with representing WDNA at Association championships as a player and coach.

Kelly-Ann Bunney
Kelly first joined the club in 1996 as a Junior player and played and coached continually throughout her time at the club before taking over the Presidency in 2012. This was a pivotal year for the club where she brought our uniforms and merchandise into the 21st century, engaged new sponsors and grew the club by recruiting Junior members again. Throughout Kelly's time at the Club she wore many hats and dedicated so many hours of her time.

Melissa Langford
Melissa started playing netball at Bambara Primary school but when she went to Padbury High School they didn’t have a netball team so she formed a team with her friends and came to play at Padbury Netball Club. This was the Clubs first Junior team! She is the daughter of inaugural and life Member Marianne and has spent many years playing, coaching and being a committee member. She is stepping up to the role of President in 2024 to continue her success at the club.

Rebecca Kelland
Bek first joined the club in 2003 as a player and played her 250th game in 2023. In 2012, she stepped up to be the Club Treasurer and has coached and umpired throughout her time at the Club. She loved the club so much, she brought her daughter Keira and Keira’s friends over to the club in 2019 as one of our junior 13&Under teams. Keira is part of the next generation of Opens players to come through our junior pathway and represent the club.
